Learn Gong Fu Martial Arts with renowned martial artist and Zen archer, Dave Martin, who is also a practicing Buddhist at Mt. Adams Buddhist Temple. As Master Dogen Zenji said, “To study the way is to study the self.” With Gong Fu Martial Arts, you will connect with yourself in a peaceful and mindful way that will open your senses to your inner self as well as open your senses to the relationship between your self and the world. The calm mindfulness you will develop in this martial art can follow you throughout the rest of your day and make for a more peaceful and harmonious life.
Schedule
- 9:00-11:30 a.m.
- Break for lunch
- Then practice again from 1:00-3:30 p.m.
- Please bring your own food.
- Tea will be provided.
We will also do metta practice. Metta is loving kindness, and the practice of sending metta to ourselves and all sentient beings is foundational to our practice.
